Florida Spine Care is composed of a dedicated team of Doctors & Specialists in each area of service. Each team is designed to provide the highest quality of care and comfort for each patient on a personal level, and build a relationship that will last a lifetime. We pride ourselves on extensive research and development, excellent customer service and friendly staff to guide our patients along what could be extremely challenging times.
Training and Qualifications
All doctors at Florida Spine Care are fellowship-trained. That means that they have focused their skills in specific sub-specialties which required additional training over and above that required for their board certifications. Our doctors now teach other doctors in fellowship programs.
Our Physicians
Kevin Douglas Cairns, M.D.
Dr. Kevin Cairns was born in Los Angeles, received his M.D. from New York Medical College and fulfilled his residency at Harvard Medical School. He also received a fellowship in neurology from Harvard as well as a fellowship in Interventional Spine Physiatry from Georgia Pain Physicians, Emory University in Atlanta. He is an expert in Peripheral Nerve Field Stimulation and stays on the leading edge of innovation in non-invasive and minimally invasive spinal treatments.
Dr. Cairns was appointed by the Governor to the Board of Medicine. In addition, he is the chairman of office surgery for the state of Florida, and serves as Vice Chairman of Credentialing of Physicians in Florida.
He is married. An outdoor enthusiast, he is a triathlete who also enjoys windsurfing, fishing, music and theater.
Edward Frankoski, D.O.
Edward Frankoski earned his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine and his residency training was completed at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he received extensive training in Pain Management.
Dr. Frankoski stays current with all new and up to date treatments through many educational meetings throughout the year. He has been practicing Pain Management in the Aventura area for over twenty years and he has been involved in drug research as well as procedure research studies.

Physician Assistants
Our Physicians Assistants have been in the field for over 11 years, specializing in spine and pain management. They pride themselves on their academic pedigrees, stemming as far as Kansas State University to right here in South Florida at Nova Southeastern University, as well as their ability to care for each individual patient as if they are the only ones. They go above and beyond for each patient & will help make the process as painless as possible.
Training and Rehabilitation
Our training and rehabilitation center is top of the line. Consistent with our holistic approach, we have a substantial amount of space dedicated to physical therapy, supervised exercise programs, Yoga and Pilates. With all procedure and rehabilitation options under one roof, your physician is able to monitor every aspect of your treatment and recovery. The Florida Spine Care facility was designed with you in mind, to maximize your comfort and to provide the best possible health care experience.
Nurses
Our nursing team is the most unique in South Florida. Our nurses go above and beyond, holding each patient’s hand throughout the entirety of their surgery. Our nurses have extensive educational backgrounds and experience in the field, ensuring our patients that they will receive undivided attention and the highest degree of care. They will make sure that all of your needs are met and will guide you through your journey to recovery, answering any questions you may have and providing you with all the resources you need to make the recovery process as painless as possible.
